Camp Operations and Admin
Meghan holds a BA in Early Childhood Studies along with a Non-Profit Management Certificate. Most recently, Meghan was involved in leadership at Ryerson Summer Day Camps where she spent two summers supporting their camp operations.
Meghan is thrilled to be on the team at BVG. With 7 years of administrative and leadership experience in camp and youth recreation settings, she brings with her a strong ability to communicate and build relationships with campers and families. Along with her interpersonal skills, Meghan has a passion for working with children and youth through arts and sport and is never afraid to get silly to encourage the growth and self-expression of her campers.
Bayview Glen’s comprehensive camp program, fantastic facilities, and highly qualified staff have combined to give campers summers filled with positive experiences and lasting memories since 1962.
We believe in providing campers with the ultimate summer experience by offering the best of a traditional camp paired with the newest innovations available. Our philosophy brings together the critical elements of age-appropriate programming and focuses on the development of self-esteem, positive relationships, and an exposure to new activities giving campers summers filled with fun and a lifetime of positive memories!
Through our own continuous learning and commitment to ongoing improvements we lead with the awareness to always be a camp where kids can be kids. Where they explore and discover. Where they always feel safe and supported to test their boundaries and truly experience life.
Welcome to BVG, where continuous innovation and the confidence to stand out from the crowd is what makes up our DNA.
Our camp offers the best of both worlds: a country environment in the heart of the city. The secure, leafy campus of Bayview Glen Independent School give us all-day access to a wealth of facilities while the wonders of our ravine keep campers close to nature every day. Our natural setting lets campers safely experience the great outdoors while inspiring them to respect nature.
Our Caring Community
More than a camp; we are a community. What makes Bayview Glen Camp such a special place are the connections formed between campers and counsellors. Every summer, we welcome more than 1,000 families from the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.
We carefully select experienced staff each year, including counsellors, specialists, supervisors and health center staff. Our staff go through a diligent screening process which selects for critical and creative thinking, collaboration, communication, problem solving and a genuine interest motivating and inspiring children. Our caring, nurturing staff helps ensure that camp is always safe for our campers and that their experience is nothing short of amazing.
BVG Camp incorporates First Aid and CPR-C training into our intensive pre-camp safety and skills training course, and our staff have passed a police check. Camper to staff ratios are low with a target of 5:1 in our Wildlings programs and 8:1 in all other programs. All our specialty supervisors deliver engaging activities and programs and have chosen to work at BVG Camp because of our reputation for excellence, and the wonderful work culture we create every summer.
