Camp Policies

Over the Summer of 2020 Day Camps in the city of Toronto were open and allowed to operate under Covid safety precautions. Although BVG Camp made the difficult decision not to operate in 2020 we are committed to operating in Summer 2021 under what we believe will be more ‘normal’ conditions, although with more limited capacity to ensure additional space for our campers and staff.

We are organizing and setting up our camp program for ‘business as usual’ with hopes and optimism that Summer 2021 will bring us that relief we are all wanting! However, rest assured, and know without question, every guideline set out by the Ministry of Health and the City Officials will be followed. The safety and wellbeing, along with the camp experience, is at the heart of every decision we make here.

Note: If for any reason the camp cannot operate, in summer 2021, full refunds and/or credit will be given.

Registration policy

  • Camper applications must be completed online. We will not accept registrations by email or phone.
  • A $500 (no risk) deposit must accompany all applications to confirm your child (‘s) spot at camp. Both full payment and instalment payment must be made by May 28th.
  • Changes made to your application are permitted, at any time, with the following service charges:
  • Changes made before May 28th will be subject to a $50 administrative charge and based on availability.
  • As of May 28th, changes will be subject to a $100 administrative charge, and as always, be based on availability.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Your peace of mind is top of mind! You may cancel your child (‘s) registration at any time until May 28th with a nominal $50 administrative fee per household.
  • Between May 28th and June 15th, your fees are refundable less 50% of total fees paid per camper.
  • After June 15th, there will be no refunds.

COVID POLICY

Understanding that summer 2021 still presents some uncertainty, we want to highlight how refunds and cancellations due to Covid related decisions will be handled.

  • If your camper misses camp due to a fellow camper in their cohort having tested positive for Covid 19, you will be refunded in full for days missed to adhere to the 14 day quarantine (this may be updated at any time to stay aligned with updated government regulations).
  • If your camper misses camp due to a having come in contact with Covid 19 outside of camp, you will not be refunded for days missed.
  • Should you need to cancel your camp registration due to a cancellation of our bus transportation offerings, you will be refunded your fees in full, less a $250 cancellation fee per household.
  • Refunds will not be given for any days missed, other than what is explained above. Camper registrations are for a period of time, and not a per diem basis.
