Gr 8 & Gr.9
Just like the name suggests, our oldest age campers truly are leaders at camp. They are the role models our younger campers look up to!
At BVG we encourage self-expression, we enable personal growth, and we create the opportunity for leadership. We also choose to invest in our oldest campers to ensure they are able to develop important skills that will be impactful in their lives moving forward.
During each 2-week Leadership Program session Leaders will participate in a number of skill-building workshops from progamming for specific age groups to camper management and will work towards assisting within our specialty areas and cabin groups as leaders in training. All Leaders will also participate in our First Aid Training course, and upon successful completion, be awarded their First Aid Certificate!
New to the Leadership Program this year is the invitation to all Leaders to return back to camp for the final week of the Summer putting their learned skills into practice working with a specific camp cohort. There will be no registration fee for this week and all Leaders that participate will receive a letter confirming their volunteer hours for this time.
